Sarah Hyland is having a great time in The Great Gatsby. The Modern Family actress stars in the Broadway musical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald 's classic as Daisy Buchanan, the magnetic 1920s socialite whose ethereal beauty, vulnerable innocence and longing for security quickly makes her the object of protagonist Jay Gatsby's all-consuming obsession. And though Hyland's only been in the production for a few weeks, she tells PEOPLE she's quickly grown close to her character.
