Mom's heartbreaking words to daycare owner as she's sentenced over toddler's fentanyl death
The heartbroken mother of a one-year-old boy who died of a fentanyl overdose at a New York daycare said she could not forgive the owner at sentencing on Monday. Zoila Dominici, the devastated mother of one-year-old Nicholas Feliz Dominici said the Divino Niño Daycare owner, Grei Mendez, deserved 'no mercy' before she was sentenced to 45 years in prison. 'It is not possible to forgive something like this,' Dominici said while staring at Mendez, 37, in court on Monday.
