It's been a very impressive start to the season for Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg. There was a lot of hope that Lendeborg was going to be this type of player when the Warriors drafted him in the first round, though there were also some concerns about him not being this because of his age.

Ultimately, the Warriors didn't worry too much about his age and decided to go get the player who they thought was the best available at the time.

Right now, there's a strong argument that Lendeborg is the best rookie in the NBA. It's also fair to mention that the Warriors' window could be extended because of how he looks.

Stephen Curry is only getting older, and that's a problem for the Warriors trying to compete for the next decade, as he's 38 years old and only has a few seasons left, but it does help the team make some decisions on trying to compete right now.

With Curry playing at this level, averaging a ridiculous 30 points per game at his age, including shooting 42.9% from 3-point range, and Lendeborg averaging 21.5 points and proving that he's a serviceable player on both sides of the floor, it could cause the Warriors to go out and make the necessary moves to improve over the next couple of months.

According to Golden State's owner, it changes the outlook of how the team is going to make decisions over the next couple of months.

"We got this one right. I was 100% sold that this was the guy we wanted in the draft. This guy is the real deal. Yeah, it changes our outlook about what we might wanna do," owner Joe Lacob said, H/T Heavy .

The Warriors are in a position to make a move or two, but it won't be easy because of limited assets.

The Warriors do have a couple of players they could deal, but it doesn't always feel like they're in a position to make a blockbuster deal with the assets they have. Lendeborg and Curry together, if they can continue playing at this level and bring in a third guy, could be all the team needs, however.
