Save this story Save Story Save this story Olivier Rousteing may not be presenting his first Rabanne collection until early next year, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t already decking out his longtime friend Kim Kardashian .
First came her 46th birthday looks (that’s right, looks plural ): Rousteing hand-selected two glittering minidresses—one sage green, the other burgundy—with matching bejeweled headpieces from the fall 1995 haute couture collection for Kardashian’s celebratory dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. (What could be a better birthday gift, than the keys to the Rabanne archive?)

Courtesy of Paco Rabanne Yesterday, continuing her press tour for season 2 of All’s Fair , Kardashian and stylist Law Roach delved into the archives once again. The neophyte actor chose a flesh-toned, curve-hugging dress with an outsized chainmail netting overlay from Paco Rabanne’s spring 1996 haute couture collection. While Kardashian has counted vintage Dolce & Gabbana and custom Ashi Studio among her press tour repertoire, her sustained relationship with Rousteing makes this look a particularly poignant one.
While we may still have a ways to go until Kim Kardashian gets first dibs on fresh-off-the-runway body-conscious chainmail, Olivier Rousteing is giving the reality star carte blanche to the house’s archives. We’d call that a pretty sweet deal.
