Mets 1B Jared Young (concussion) out for seasonField New York Mets first baseman Jared Young was home recovering from a concussion on Friday, and the team shut him down for the remainder of the season. Young was knocked unconscious briefly after an on-field collision with teammate Nolan McLean on Thursday in the 3-0 loss to the visiting Philadelphia Phillies. He was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported to a hospital.
