In an interview with PEOPLE at Planned Parenthood's Spring into Action Gala on Thursday, April 24, where she received the Catalyst of Change Award, the "Get Him Back" singer revealed why her mom Jennifer Rodrigo — who she's shared is a teacher — empowers her. "My mom is wonderful, and I know everyone says that, but I love her, and she always emboldens me to stand up for what I believe in and follow my heart," says Olivia, 22, at the event held at Cipriani South Street in New York City.
