California has reopened a beautiful hotspot dubbed the 'eighth wonder of the world' that became overrun with tourists and required thousands of repairs. The main trails to Burney Falls, one of the state's natural wonders, were temporarily closed in February 2024 after a surge of tourists resulted in extensive $835,000 'critical' repairs. Now, the gorgeous 129-foot falls have quietly reopened. Aaron Wright, public safety chief for the State Park's system's Northern District, told SFGate: 'Any kind of press brings people here.
