Footy coaches cop lengthy bans for disgusting, foul-mouthed tirade directed at referee in junior rugby union match
At least two rugby union coaches from the elite Wellington College in New Zealand have been issued lengthy bans from the sport after abusing a referee in a recent junior match. The College's under-15 white side was leading Porirua-based Aotea College white 22-19 on May 25 when the referee abandoned the contest due to relentless abuse he endured from the sideline. A witness at the game declared a parent of a student from Wellington College also verbally attacked the same referee, prompting him to end the match on the hour mark.
