Despite rising by way of the ranks together as kids, there has been dangerous blood between O'Sullivan and Carter stretching again various years and their bitter feud boiled over once they met in the Masters ultimate earlier this month.
As O'Sullivan clinched a record eighth title at Alexandra Palace, Carter bizarrely accused his rival of 'snotting everywhere in the flooring' and the Rocket fired back with an explosive attack of his own – during which he referred to as the Captain 'a f***ing nightmare'.
'He must type his f***ing life out,' O'Sullivan stated during his explosive outburst.
'I'm not going to skirt around it anymore, tip-toeing on egg shells round somebody like that. He's a f***ing nightmare.
'He's obtained issues. F***ing why has he obtained points with me? I'm not having it. I don't care, develop some balls. I don't give a f*** about any of these snooker players, any of them.'
After labelling some of O'Sullivan's supporters 'morons', Carter claimed he 'felt sorry' for the mercurial 48-year-old, the man extensively considered the greatest snooker participant within the historical past of the game.
Requested if he was angered by O'Sullivan's X-rated feedback, Carter replied: 'Indignant about what? No. It makes no difference to me what he says.
'He says various things on totally different days. I don't assume even he knows what's going to return out of his mouth on sure days.
'I truly really feel a bit sorry for him. I don't assume he's that nicely, mentally. So we transfer ahead and we go again this week.'
O'Sullivan and Carter's foulmouthed feud had appeared to have simmered, but the Rocket's girlfriend Laila Rouass reignited the meat once more throughout an Instagram Stay on Thursday – referring to feedback the Captain had made some years ago.
'Ali Carter stated about four years in the past, 5 years ago, that Ronnie doesn't have another World Championship win [in him],' she stated.
'And what did he go and do? He went and gained. That didn't age nicely did it, Ali Carter? Now hush your mouth and be a superb boy.
'Focus on your snooker and no one else's.'

'It's between the 2 of them and obviously there's dangerous blood there, there's little question about it, and& it's gone again quite a great distance.& Obviously they've recognized one another a very long time,' Hendry stated on the& Snooker Club podcast.
How is it going to influence on them for the rest of the season as far as the snooker is worried? I don't assume it'll have an effect on Ronnie at all, these type of issues simply kind of brush off Ronnie.
'But Carter has obtained to watch out that this kind of thing doesn't influence him, especially enjoying right away this week within the Grand Prix, that it doesn't have an effect on his recreation.'
Hendry added: 'Individuals don't realise that profitable these huge occasions… it won't appear to be it with Ronnie, the best way he treats it so easily, nevertheless it does take it out of you mentally.
'But both gamers may have been mentally exhausted after that week and typically you get requested questions in the press conference straight after and you're still raging after dropping and you react in another way than you may need completed had you waited half an hour to do the press conference.
'So issues are still obviously pretty raw for each gamers but they've received to start out once more this week and the subsequent time they play one another it's going to be spicy, there's little question about it.'
