BMW is presently creating and testing general-purpose robots that would quickly enter its workforce.
The robots are being developed in partnership with an organization referred to as Determine, based mostly in California.

In the first part, Figure will determine use instances to apply the robots in automotive manufacturing.
The second part includes staged deployment at BMW's manufacturing facility in South Carolina.
Beyond these two phases, BMW Manufacturing and Figure plan to explore superior technologies corresponding to AI, robotic management, manufacturing virtualization, and robot integration.

Not everyone seems to be a fan of this transfer by BMW, as some are concerned that robots will take over human jobs.
Michael Walsh from Nerdist stated BMW's bots seem like a "sci-fi catastrophe come to life," although didn't increase a lot on why.
Still, BMW is hardly the primary firm, and positively gained't be the final, to employ robots within the office.
